Hi Guy's
With reference to Varroa we in Cambridgeshire have resistant mites so the use of Apistan and Bayvarol are no longer used. We now use Apiguard in the autumn and a trickle system of oxalic acid. The OA has a very good knock down rate and as you know can not be used if large ammounts of brood are present. Apiguard is thymol based and although the bees do not go much on the substance they do spread it around the hive and this also gives a good knock down rate.
Is fogging another word for vaporizing the hive with OA?
