Yesterday there was a posting on the local Craigslist "Free items" for a "Bee hive. The kind beekeepers use." Sounded like someone who had old stuff in their garage, so I emailed and said I was a beekeeper, and I would gladly take it. I got this reply:

"sorry.. this is just a natural hive.. i thought it could be used by a bee keeper. I guess it is not the right type of bee."

Hmmm. A paper hornet's nest, perhaps? Guess there are things we take for granted to be understood by all, which are not.
