I suspected my one huge hive was thinking about swarming as I was mowing yesterday. Very huge colony with a lot of flying activity yesterday. I did not have time to get inside and look for queen cells. Today as I was walking to fire up the grill for supper when I found the swarm just off the patio in a spruce tree. I have corralled the swarm and given them a new home with drawn comb and a little bit of honey (in comb). Their new location is still on my property but about 175' away and now facing a new direction with trees blocking the view of their old home. I am hoping they find their new home satisfactory. :???:

Same thing happened last year and I was able to save one of my own swarms. Just glad I was home at the right time before they flew away.
