ole Rat says the marines have a way of growing up young men in a hurry. But I must admit I had to laugh the first thing Tyler did after being dismissed and eating a dinner he took his debit card to the atm checked his balance then went straight to the mcx base electronics store and bought 3 xbox 360 games. Them DI's might have tore him down and built him back but he didnt let them touch the kid in him when it came to the x box

He is not the only one. That BX makes a fortune off recruits. When they remodel it they never close for fear of losing money. On that Sunday liberty I bet he went to the BX and the Burger King. They have a recruit special with a triple Whopper I probably cannot eat today without exploding.
I hope you can talk him into putting away an IRA for his future. My Mom did and I can retire whenever I want.

Kid in him is a good thing. Once we loose it, we are done.
We live meaningful lives, as long as kid in us is alive. I believe.

And I say, Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional.
