Hi, I'm Scott and I live in the heart of the Rocky Mountains in central Colorado. I monitor honey bee colonies that are living in Bee Tree Hives in my high mountain valley (6,500' to 10,000' in elevation). I am a bee-centered beekeeper whose goal is the development and propagation of an ecotype that will survive and thrive in our region - both in monitored hives and in the wild. This, of course, requires a multi-faceted approach that includes public education, improved habitat, genetics, bee-centered beekeeping practices, and the further development of my Bee Tree Hives.
