I know a few of you from other sites. And of course know
    Iddee (who doesn't recognize fame?).

I have been keeping bees for a few years now. Winters are harsh
here and take their toll. I am looking to start wintering them in
    the southland starting next year.

I also have a small apple orchard of about 500 trees now as well as
some other fruits like raspberries, serviceberries, cherries, plums,
    and the like.

My living comes from garage door work but I have scaled back on that
over the last few years. It's a young person's game.

    Glad to be here.

Welcome to the forum. With all of the fruit you must do a little truck farming I would guess.

what happened to Tataka (and don't tell me you left that fine beast somewhere along some deserted North Dakota road)? I kind of liked him.

    Thanks everyone for the greetings.......

Tatanka is alive and well and roaming the prairie as always.

For everyone (other than Tec) Tatanka is the name of my old
1995 Chev diesel 1 ton dually. Named for the Lakota name for
    bison.

Hey Sundance, Good to see you here. For those who dont like the wax worm or has an orchard like me, Sundance can hook you up w/ BT. a great spray for those pesky pests and it doesnt hurt the bee's.

Custer had no chance with Tatanka...... not even close.
That cloud of dust in the west is..... the great while buffalo,
Tatanka, the fire breathing old boy. (old, but paid for)

I hope your spring build up is going strong...... I miss
that spring air, and the Cardinals music. And you guys
    of course.

Thanks Sundance... we miss you also.

as far as bees and spring is concerned....this year is so much different from last year that comparison is impossible.
