hello, my name is Tullio and I'm a organic beekeeaper.
I'm sorry but I don't know English well
Welcome and enjoy your stay!
Hey Tullio :hi:
You have found a friendly and truly international place here. Enjoy yourself and contribute when you can.
Welcome Tullio. :hi:
Don't worry about your English. It's probably better than mine, and I know your English is one heck of a lot better than my Italian. Looking forward to hearing about your bees.
Welcome Tullio, glad you found us on the forum, want to here about your bees and pictures if possible.
Welcome to the forum from the UK.:hi:
Many of the members use the Italian strain of bee. I am afraid they are too prolific for my area.
I am looking forward to reading about your local climate and bee plants.
Welcome to this wonderful forum.
and a large HOWDY from the lone star state. I do have one question for you about what is required to be an organic bee keeper in italy? I am right now experiencing some internet connection problem but plan to later mapquest/google earth you location <there are some aspect of this new technology us old 'cats' do quite enjoy.
hello kebee, in this photo you can see Apis Mellifera ligistica spinola. it's most popular and typical breed (or race???) in Italy. I breed this bee
Same as I have ,the little robbers, good honey makers though.
spinola <now that is a new one on me?
we do have quite a good deal of italian stock here in the USofA. At one time (prior to the introduction of varroa) this seemed important but now bees that simply survive are my own primary concern. I also rear a few queens along (sometimes for my own use and sometimes to sale) and I quite like to raise Cordovan Italians which looks quite a bit like the queen in your attached picture.
Welcome Tullio, from the show me state. Jack
Welcome Tullio, enjoy your stay
Gład to have you join us Tullio. We need more representatives fm the Mediterranean region.
