Hi, My name is Aaron and I am a newbie beekeeper from NH. I am currently building my own 8 frame Langstroth hive and frames. It is currently the middle near the end of winter here. I get to play around out in my garage with scraps from larger jobs. Bees are all ordered. Looking forward to the wealth of information from this site.

Welcome Benny8 to the forum, just ask your question about the bee and we will try to answer.

Aaron, make sure you have a plan to deal with mites. Packages are notorious for mites being a deadly problem. When are they scheduled to come?

Middle to end of April. What should I be looking for and what would treatment be?

You probably won't need to treat until August. Go to Randy Oliver's site. He is a master beekeeper, scientist and there is almost all the information a new beekeeper would need to begin taking care of bees. Then comes the hands on experience and the wins and losses of agriculture.
