I've been researching beekeeping for some time now and am finally "jumping in and learning to swim".
Building and assembling my two hive these past few months has been a fantastic way to beat the doldrums of a long, cold, wet, grey and rainy/snowy winter. My crocuses, daffodils, snowdrops, tulips, rhubarb, bleeding heart and fruit trees are all now trying to bloom so I'm eager to get my first two nucs. Their homes are waiting and I've even put two little welcome mats on their front porches ! , (actually they're meant for a softer landing for the clumsy little girls when they come home from foraging).
I'm looking forward to learning and sharing experiences on this forum. Hello all. Any other beekeepers from Squamish ?
