2nd season of beekeeping but feels like first. We are learning and experiencing lots. First hive was poor and didn't make it through winter. This year we have 2 hives that seem to be in excellent health. They lost both Queens on the same day thanks to Formic after only 30 hrs of application in Oct. I hope the mild weather gave them a chance to requeen. Now we have one huge hive.

Welcome!
When I do my Formic Acid treatment, I do the one strip for 10 days, remove it and add another strip for 10 days. I was told that that is less harsh on the Queen. However, the same person who told me to do that, has no problem with doing the 2 strips at one time for the 14 days.
