I am a novice beek just beginning in this endeavor. I currently have two hives from swarms caught from a VERY OLD hive in a tree just down the road from me. I am fascinated already! Looking forward to learning a lot here!

Welcome to the forum, it's a great place to hang out and there's so many helpful folks here.

I grew up in Crystal Springs, down about 25 miles south of Jackson. I lived in Memphis for quite a while and spent some time putzing around the northern parts MS when I would spend time at the casinos up there and met some people in Horn Lake and Hernando and parts.

Hi new2it and welcome to our friendly bee community. :hi:
You have found a great resource here. "very old hive in a tree just down the road fro me". Sounds like a place to set up some swarm traps, with good genetics being the reward!

Greetings New2it. With all he help and friends you'll pick up here, before you know it you'll have to change your name to "Old2it". Truth be told, no matter how long you're with bees, they always have some new surprises for you up the sleeve :rolling:
Oh yes, in case you haven't done any roaming around the forum's posts, you'll learn soon enough that we like to do a lot of joking around--laughing WITH you, not AT you (or anyone else).
