Hi all, new to the forum.
I've been keeping bees (just 2 hives) for about 4 or maybe 5 years. I seem to be doing okay in a difficult part of the state to keep them apparently, but mostly due to dumb luck! Never seen my queens, but then again I don't look, if there's honey, fresh wax and brood with no pests or diseases, I let them be.
I've only copped the one swarm in my first year (so far) but had a bit of fun helping a friend collect his many swarms. I'm looking forward to having my knowledge of bees and beekeeping grow exponentially, as well as being able to have conversations (albeit electronically) with others that are actually interested and not just being polite...
