took a good look today in 1 of the cone-o-bees daughters hives before adding supers, the queen is so fat and long she has trouble just walking but what a egg layer, the nectar and pollen coming is in incredible.

Thanks for the pics. Zoo.We have had freezing fog the last few days, so it's nice to see the sun is shining on you.Have you ever thought about breeding cone-o-bees with Kona bees?

Great brood patten cells that are missed most have pollen in them. the queen looks Italian and her daughters have all similar markings no dark or black bees.

Are these in a double brood and you are about to add honey supers or 2nd brood super? Still have this queens mother? If so raise queens from her she is proven and tested.

very nice looking queen. given what you are doing now marking is a good thing to put on your list of things to do.

interesting how (picture 1) that the bees did not draw out the corners of the plasticell inserts.

You have a double blessing: a very outstanding queen and an area that gives terriffic environmental conditions for her to meet her potential.
