Well I took a peek today to see if I needed to add more super...

Hive #1 - Has about half of the 1st medium super drawn out...will have to put a 2nd super on next weekend probally.

    Hive #2 - Same as hive #1

Hive #3 - Was totally void of bees a week and a half ago. Put 4 frames of Bees, Brood and Eggs in it from Hive number 2 a week and a half ago and they seem to be growing in numbers just hope they made a queen!

Hive #4 - They filled the super that had drawn comb and I added a 2nd Super! This hive is my best this year!

    So things are going well!

No pics it's been a very busy summer and Tuesday we are hiving a swarm in our new Bee Club hive at our 2nd monthly meeting!

thanks for the update. 4 hives should be a sustainable number.

ps.. if it had of been me I would have removed at least one frame of young larvae from hive #4 when I 'made up' hive number3. selecting from whatever you currently call 'the best' is always sound advice is this kind of situation.

Well did another quick inspection today...

    Hive #1 - Added a 2nd Super!

    Hive #2 - Added a 2nd Super!

Hive#3 - the Split - Looks to be holding it's own and very active at the entrance. Didn't want to disturb it til next week to hopefully give the new Queen they made time to mate and start laying.

    Hive #4 - Added a 3RD Super!!!

Looks like it's gonna be a good year!

It was around 7:30 am and they musta knew it was gonna rain cause they were a little Hot at me today!

Well I checked on the weak hive that I added frames of egg, larva and brood to...

All brood have emerged and no new eggs that I could see. Did think I heard a Queen Piping though...Just incase I added 2 more frames of eggs, brood and honey from one of my other hives...I'm gonna get Hive #3 going one way or another!

You and you're big words...LOL Persevere: to persist in pursuing something in spite of obstacles or opposition.

Yep! Been that way all my life!
