If you are a member of a local club they would be an excellent source of information, including nectar flows, as would be a mentor if you have one. If there is a nectar flow going on I would stop feeding and let them will find it. If you're not a member of a local beekeepers club now would be a good time to go to meetings and check them out as well as ask questions.
How long to keep feeding sugar water?
They are taking about 1 to 1 1/2 quarts of sugar water a day (the stronger hives). Do I continue as long as they will take it? Sorry for so many questions, I thought it would be better to put them on separate threads so that they could be dealt with separately. Please let me know if Im not following forum etiquette. Thanks for your help.
