How many in a Package?

    I have read it somewhere, but have forgotten---how many bees in a 2 or3# package?....Duh... :oops:

    Approx. 3500 per lb.

    Usually they shake in a few extra bees to account for those that will die in transit as Iddee said 3500 per pound, so 3 lb package approx 10500 sounds like a lot until you figure how many won't be aronud when the first new bees hatch out, probably 25% to 35% will be gone.
