Okay, being only a first year beekeeper, I am very excited because I saw the Queen! Went into add another hive box and I didn't have to move a frame..there she was traveling up over the top and right back down again. Unfortunately, I didn't have my camera ready...but She looked beautiful!(okay I am a little biased:wink:)

At my first Spring inspection of one of my surviving 20-frame/2-deep hives last week, I pulled out the first frame in the top deep, and there she was, right in the middle of the first side I looked at! Literally right where my eyes first glanced. Now that doens't happen too often! Too bad I wasn't quite ready to do a split on that hive yet, by 2 more weeks.

I wonder if our UK contributors are as excited as we are seeing queens?
