Mouse excluder, Perry's right. I usually take them off when the grass in the field starts growing and put them on just before our first frost. When I bought my first hive from a friend who became allergic to the stings, there was a mouse taking up residence in the hive. After I got the hive home and took the screen over the entrance off the next day, the mouse ran out right on top of my hand and scared me to death! I wasn't expecting that at all.

    That's what I need, a mouse excluder.

wayne, have you seen jb's video of the 'queen and the mouse' ? pretty funny video. jb lifts the lid and a mouse scurries off, then while he is off cleaning the bottom board of the mouse nest and yammering in the background, unknown to him, the dang mouse is running around looking for it's home......just cracked me up. anyway, thanks for sharing your pics wayne!
