I'm ready for spring.. My 2 small nucs started in Sept are doing good. One was started with two frames of brood and a year old queen a guy gave me and they other was a newly mated queen that was mated in Sept. Queens still lying, saw capped brood, larva and eggs yesterday. The bee numbers are growing in these boxes as well. Still feeding with temps warm and nothing blooming. Upper 70's all weekend. Again, these nucs would not have hapened without this forum, so thanks everyone. Hoping to start the spring with 7 established hives, have 2 cutouts lined up already. Want to try a some splits as well, start a few more nukes, and capture some swarms. This is one of the cutouts. This hive has been there for about 3 years. From the ground to the top of that open space is about 7 ft. This thing is really big. Looks like it goes all the way to the ground. Think I'll make this picture the background on my work computer to get me through the winter..
