I want to take the 2 queens from my strongest overwintered hives and start 2 nucs. I have a weak nuc that I'll be dis-banding and the 2 new nucs will absorb the current population. Each nuc will have all drawn frames and I have more drawn frames in storage once the queen needs more room. Has anyone made nucs this late in the mid-Atlantic area and had them survive the winter? I had 3 nucs come through last winter but coupled with the losses I suffered I'm a little hesitant. Thanks!
