It's time to get the patties on and start feeding steady to build up for the citrus bloom and pre-flow splits. Citrus can bloom here mid March depending on weather (may be May the way it feels now). If your hives aren't strong for citrus, you'll get very little.

well at least it seems something haven't changed much.

you know rast I always remember the citrus blooming earlier than March (like mid February) but it has been a lot of time in between and no doubt my old grey matter is sometimes faulty.

when the weather clears here I will begin doing much the same thing and for much the same reason. with the short (punctuated) flow we have here if you don't have the girls churnin' up early you will not get much out of them. this year does look much better than the couple of past springs since we finally have moisture in the ground.

Tec, you lived 50 miles give or take S. of me back when you lived here (in the last century :D). They can bloom earlier farther S.
