I just realized I've been lurking around here since the fall of 2011 & made 50 post without introducing myself.

My name is Mike Duncan & I live in Western Kentucky right on Lake Barkley. As of right now I have 7 hives & 3 nucs & help my Dad with his 20 or so hives when I get the chance. My Dad is the person that introduced me to beekeeping about 3 years ago. Anyway I'm glad I found the site & all you helpful Ladies & Gentlemen. It's fun reading & learning from you.

    O...one more thing....the 3 in my avatar are my three boys....my pride & joy.

:hi:Glad to know a bit more about you, Mike. I wish we could see those three pride and joys a bit more clearly. How about a post with pictures that can give us a better look at them. And at the same time, how about a look at your Dad, who started you in this direction.

This is a pic from last years prom. The 2 on the outside are Chad & Zach, older brother Todd is in the middle. Chad & Zach are twins (not identical of course). As of right now none are showing much interest in beekeeping. Zach will help me if I need him to but the other two....not so much. I'll have to dig some pics up of Dad.

Mike, they've got three winning smiles, should be good enough to calm any wild hive.
Looks like you've got good reason to be proud!
    I'm waiting to see Dad....

Very nice photo. My sympathy to Mum ...... a household with 4 men  How does she sort the socks out ?

My family has the ginger gene. Does the ginger hair come from Mum or Dad ?

Although I'm dark headed like Chad & Todd, the ginger gene comes from my side.

Welcome Mike! Have we already talked? Seemed like someone on here was near Eddyville. We were talking about the prison. I am originally from Evansville in the southern part of Indiana. We vacationed in Land between the Lakes often.
