Just a quick introduction. I'm not a beekeeper, but I have been known to hang around one and donate a little bit of free labor towards the hobby.

I've been lurking and reading (a lot!), so I'm beginning to have a new appreciation for those little girls and the huge job they do. Maybe someday, I'll get the courage to suit up and see what type of homemakers they are, but for now, I'll just admire them from a distance and appreciate those of you who keep them.

I appreciate the welcome, and have learned a lot in the few weeks I've been lurking. I would like to have a hive or two, but since I'm not the only resident here, it probably ain't gonna happen.

I should be able to live vicariously through another's hives, though. ;)

I don't have the er...intestinal fortitude...yet to tag along (notice the judicious use of the word 'yet'), but that keeper I hang around with lets me get involved in just about every other aspect of the hobby.

I wouldn't mind having a hive, but like I said, I am not the only person who lives here...and since I seldom get nixed on any of my harebrained schemes...I'll learn to live without a hive here at home.
