Hi all,

I'm actually from NY, but have a relative in Pantego, NC that is interested in having a hive or two on his farm. So I'm on a quest to befriend a beekeeper in his area that could sort of help him out and mentor. Iddee suggested I stop by here as there may be a few beekeepers from the area.

I've been keeping bees for over 30 years and as an engineer, I like to experiment and try doing things somewhat my own way  I try to share my doings on my website, but do admit I am a little lax at times.
http://robo.bushkillfarms.com (be forewarned, my photo gallery recently died and I'm in the process of relinking all the images)

Some of you also may know me as the technical admin that keeps another bee forum site running.

This looks like a nice place, I wish you continued success, and I'm glad Iddee pointed me here.

Hey, Robo! Iddee thought I might be able to help you out, but Pantego's over 100 miles from me. What county is that? Maybe we could hook you up with the NCSBA chapter in that area. I'm sure there must be beeks that would lover to help you out. Wish I could help, and you're always welcome to come by my place, but it's a bit distant!

Oops, I guess you don't get e-mail notifications by default

Tia,

Thanks for the response. I just did a quick search and it appears it is in Beaufort? county. They run a commercial peony farm and my Dad, who got me into beekeeping as a boy, will be going down in a few weeks to help with the once a year harvest which only last a couple weeks. Was hoping to find someone dad could hook up with while he was down there.

I apologize upfront for the size of these images, but it appears the forum doesn't allow HTML or the BBCode doesn't support image resizing. If it is a problem, I'll refrain from posting pictures in the future.

Hi Robo, Welcome to the forum! I didn't add the resize mod to this board i think the ability to see the bigger pictures is a nice attribute :) The pictures are not stored locally so the server is happy, bandwidth has not been a problem at this point in our young life, and the fluid design accommodates the larger pictures.

BTW nice blog, I always liked the misty theme ;)
