My plans are to order Leafcutter bees from Crown Bees next Summer. I jumped the gun and already have my chalet and Leafcutter block for it, even have a place already picked out for their nesting house. I know they are supposed to be good pollinators for the garden vegetables. Summer is a long way off and I was thinking of maybe ordering a Mason Bee block for nesting and some Mason bees for next Spring. However, since I have no fruit trees around and only wildflowers and a garden to grow in the summer , is it a stupid move to buy Mason bee cocoons ? Wondering if they will perish or fly off. My understanding is Mason Bees are good for fruit trees but I haven't heard anything as to if they are also good for just gardens.
