I figure to stay away from the malls tomorrow...probably going to be a lot of Mayans doing last minute Christmas shopping.
Well it's 12-21-2012 and i'm still hear? But the day aint over yet. Jack
Sorry it's kind of small, in metric and French. But you get the idea.
What time zone is the planet crashing or are we doomed by our time midnight?
Did crackerbee's world come to an end? :rolling:
Americasbeekeeper 'What time zone is the planet crashing or are we doomed by our time midnight?'
So lets figure a +/- 5% margin of error in the prophecy. 3000 years ago would be how many years of tolerance? I figure we got about 150 years either way.
Just heard on the nightly news that today was the busiest shopping day of the year. Remember? I said to stay away from the malls today because there would be a bunch of Mayans doing Christmas shopping.
So......I take it that you guys are all still there............?
I just re-visited this threaad and crackerbee's illustration has appeared. I don't know why it didn't come in before, maybe it's the birth of a new world.
The Mayans were close. The world didn't end, but my hot water heater died.
Aw man! What lousy timing!
Electric or gas? either way it sucks. No Blows. sorry to hear.
Electric. Luckily it's one of those jobs I can do myself without paying someone.
Best pick one up before Home Depot closes for the holiday.
(I lost one at Thanksgiving 5 years ago - the workaround involved heating water to wash my hair and leaving for the weekend...)
I loss my hot water Friday 2 weeks ago, put in myself, new roof last Wednesday did not do my self, 8 mexican and they got 40squares of singles off and back on in 7 hours, I could not hardley believe it, looked good also, got some good rain the day after and now, no leaks.
Okay gunny---if you can fix your electric water heater, you're a good candidate to fix the world. After all, where would we be without electricity? I saw some of the standstill (on the way to the destruction of the world?) when parts of New York and New Jersey were without electricity for a MONTH (unbelievable) after hurricane Sandy struck.
One thing I am to old and they would not let me work on getting the lines and electricity back on because I was not in the Union anymore, isn't that something.
Just think, it Benjamin Franklin hadn't discovered electricity, we'd all be watching TV by candle light.
