I have a nuc I am overwintering in a 5 on 5 configuration. With the warmer temps this winter they have went through more stores than normal. Another issue is the bees are flying pretty much daily. Making the young bees I was relying on to get through the winter worn out bees with no new bees hatching to replace. I could feed using tyros sugar cube( thank tyro for the post) But actually Im thinking of setting up my ob hive out in my heated shop. I am thinking of moving the nuc inside the shop at night working in the dark putting a flashlight on the back side glass to draw bees to the light that fly and proceed to move the nuc into the ob hive. I have set up ob hives in the summer but never attempted to try this. All input is welcome. YEP ole rat has the cabin fever and to much time on his hands. :D
