I am going to move my NJ hive down to Alabama next month [tired of worrying about bears]. I ordered an entrance moving screen from Mann Lakes, and it has four holes in it.

In my wee mind, that would seem to defeat the purpose. What are they for?

So the bees can find there way in but not to get out? I would want to see it before believing it.

No. In addition to B'er Bear [upper Sussex County], there is a significantly shorter season than my yards in Alabama, and since I am in a vicarage, twitchy parishioners to consider.

OTOH, there are already folks who have asked me about nucs for their gardens next spring... apparently the Garden State is missing its bees. So, I might bring a road company up for a couple months.
