Barry, you're doing pretty well with 10% open. When you're back to 100% you'll be mighty awesome.
Actually, angioplasty these days is a pretty simple, straightforward procedure, with minimal risks and great results.
We're looking forward to hearing your report on its success with your carotid. Godspeed to your doctor's hands and to your complete recovery.

    Hey Barry.
I would say that hey, you've had the surgery and were able to post about it so that is positive. (your spelling is perfect and the few punctuation mistakes are nothing that many of us are not guilty of).
If we hadn't heard from you for any length of time we would of course be concerned.

I had it done the old fashioned open surgery way with cut from ear to collarbone. It sure makes shaving tricky for a while. I told the story that I fell asleep in a tree stand and fell out into a barb wire fence. No complicatiions after 2 years, but there is risk if you go for it and risk if you dont.

I have a friend who had a mild stroke and everything came back except, for the life of him, he cannot whistle! I think most of us have some spare brain space we are not using! Hope everything goes well!

If the stroke is so minor that it can only be confirmed by an MRI and CAT scan, can we say that your situation is pretty good? If it were something serious, I would expect that you would know about it without needing any tests.
Can you till smile? If so, you're in top condition. Keep smiling and feel great.

Perhaps it's the heat down there, and all you really need is to spend some time in a nice spot where there is brisk, fresh air, watching all the bald eagles soaring majestically above.

Did I mention Sheffield Mills is only ten minutes from where I live?

They're going to recommend full time rehab at a regular rehabilitation facility already have a bit more range of motion then when I first finished surgery hardly done yet. More optimistic now than when I was.

The sooner you start the therapy, the sooner you'll make your recovery. Work hard and you'll make fast gains.
We're all rooting for ya Barry.
