I was nervous but not because of the bees. This was on the fairway of a local golf and country club and I had visions of me screwing it up and having golfers running for cover. Luckily the bees had read the same book as me and everything went very smoothly. There really was no need for the gloves and stuff, but it was my first time.

Swarms are for the most part fairly calm, with that said, if been hanging around for awhile, and the bees have used up the honey stores in their stomach, then can be a entirely different matter. Apparently all went well, good for you, let us know how they are doing, don't know the nectar flows in your area, but think that for the most part, done for the season excluding a short fall flow--feed and feed some more, as satted in previous posts, might even consider pollen substitute like mega brood, to stimulate brood rearing, and build them up for the comming winter, wuold suspect you will need something close to 70 pounds of honey to get them through the winter, start spring build up. Good luck, enjoy the girls they will work very hard for you if you work for them. :D
And welcome aboard
