need quick help! crush and strain

    6 of 9 frames were foundationless, crushing and straining no problem. What about the 3 with Pierco foundation? i have no extractor.

    Just use your hive tool and scrape down to the plastic. You will not harm the foundation and actually can use it again.

    So how was the harvest? I was going to take some off today, but it's raining to no end here. :cry:

    Not nearly enough! Only one medium super, 9 frames. Two were cut up for comb, four pints of chunk and the rest lightly stained. It's still draining so I don't have a total yet. What small amount I did get is very light in color and tastes great!

    The wife agrees that this paltry harvest is totally unacceptable and the only solution is to get more bees.
