I am a new beekeeper,... new bee box, and I just installed a new swarm. everything went well I thought. I returned 2 hours later to find all the bee gather on the side and under the bee box platform. It is extremely hot out. 90+ degrees and the box was baking in the sun. I live near the beach in CA, so it is not normally this hot. Will the bees move back inside later? I don't know if the queen is in or out of the box.

Sounds like the queen has wandered outside of the box, do you by chance have a screened bottom board on this hive?

I am taking it for granted that this is a Lang type hive setup.

Also is this a wild swarm you caught or a package of bees (with queen in cage, and yes I know it is late in the year for packages everybody but I had to ask).
