How many hives ? Rural or suburban ? Why beekeeping ? Other hobbies ? Local climate ? Local forage ?

How about some additional info ?: I hope to learn alot here. I'm about to become a member in a local club and have several friends that raise bees as well. Except for the extraction expense and process, this looks to be fun.
How many hives ? None yet, I just ordered a complete hive from Kelly Bee's
Rural or suburban ? Rural
Why beekeeping ? Interesting, I started using 2 tbs of local honey a couple of years ago and stopped allergy meds.
Other hobbies ? Huuuuum? Boating, woodturning, woodworking, metal working, hiking, guitar, tinkering (kind of a favorite), reading, Bee Keeping.
Local climate ? 20-30's in winter, 70-90's summers
Local forage ? Farm land behind, and to the side of me. Lots of natural area in front of me.
woodworking is a definite plus when beekeeping!
