New to forum from Ohio

    Been keeping bees about 5 years now - my Dad had kept them, but that was before mites, SHB, and all the other nasties, so we just messed with them twice a year and were done. Different now.
    Seems like a nice place here and hope you guys can help me when I'm stumped (which is a little too often...)

    Greetings on joining the forum. You hit the nail on the head pointing out the biggest difrences between beekeeping in the "old days" and today. We don't have SHB here, but Varroa and the other diseases/pests are enough to make "let alone" beekeeping an impossibility. :dash1:

    Where in Ohio? I grew up in Northeast Ohio (various places) and still have family there.

    P.S. One more thing I learned is that "Ozium" seems to work best at getting smoke smell out of jeeps. :doh:
