Hello, my name is Jim and my wife and I live in Newton, Kansas. My hobbies besides beekeeping are: restoring a 1967 Camaro, collecting American Flyer trains, and fruit trees. This is my second time around at beekeeping. I've been in it for 2 years now. The first time was 25 years ago when are kids were in grade school. Then I had 6 hives for about 12 years. Since we lived only 2 blocks from the school, my wife and I always enjoyed having our kid's grade school class come over during class time to watch us extract honey. It was a great science lesson for them. Now our kids are grown and married and they decided it was time for me to get back into the bee business, so they gave me 2 packages of bees for Christmas 2009.

Look for some questions from me in the forum because I am perplexed over what has/or is happening to my newly hived packages of bees.

Jim

Pop the questions, Jim. We'll tell you, whether we know or not.

At least give you some ideas if we don't know.
