This Houston news coverage was on National news this morning. What bothered me was what sounded like some inaccurate information and of course the adding to the fear factor for all viewers. Also no REAL beekeeper taking about swarms and their most likely mood and how few people will really be bothered by swarms. I guess I am looking for encouragement about the good of bees and not always the bad about bees. But of course as the saying goes for news- "IF IT BLEEDS IT LEADS"

"A Houston neighborhood is buzzing over a large swarm of honey bees that's taking over. Drew Karedes reports an expert was called in to handle the situation."

It's amazing that with all the spotlight that has been shone on honey bees in the last few years, there is still so much bad information and poor reporting going on.

There was an Eagles song about reporters, something about "kick them when they're up, kick them when they're down..."
