All,
An interesting observation. This year I started getting swarm calls several weeks earlier than usual, but the total number of calls is way down from normal. Typically I would be getting several calls a day at this time of year. This year, though, it's less than one per week.
Is anyone else experiencing different than normal swarm call numbers this year?

I've had about 20% of the number of calls I normally get. Last year being the worst honey year on record, I guess far fewer colonies made it through winter.

I'm seeing the same here. Although this year we are actually doing better on honey production!?!? I had a hive swarm off of mine last week and others are bursting. I since have supered them but we're having a more productive season w/ alot less calls. I had around 25-30 calls by now. I'm sitting @ 5-6 now!

It's been about 2 weeks since I got a swarm call now. Most unusual. Makes me wonder if the swarm calls are done for the year already.
