Hi there I've been keeping bees for a while in a national hive and wanted to get an observation hive. I saw one like this for sale, however I wouldn't want to keep it indoors. Has anyone seen one like this before and know if it is ok to keep it outdoors? Also can you add supers onto it like a national?

    Welcome. :hi:

With National equipment, I am assuming you are from the UK?

And, wow. I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like that. I would assume that weather proofing would be the only drawback to using it outside. It is so pretty, I would be tempted to try to use it with an outside entrance under a porch, in a shed or a bee house. The doors look like the interior access doors I have seen in European bee houses. Do your standard frames fit?

That would be my question as I have never heard of that equipment, is what country. I hope that I have a location on my profile, it makes stuff easier.
