Broadheaded Skinks... ...very cool. I haven't seen these since I lived in Jacksonville in the mid 1980s.
Even if he decides to take a few bees, no, you do not need to worry about these. This is most likely just a male looking for a raised platform to display to the females (which are all brown, w/o the red head). The males will fight over prime display sites (usually on the sides of tree trunks from 3 to 15 feet high).
