Give him my contact info. The door's open and the coffee pot is always on.

I can also hook him up with a beek fisherman or two in the Lejuene area if he likes to fish.

It's tough for mothers to part from their sons. Thankg God for the advances of the digital age when, in spite of distance, we can still be so "close" and maintain contact.

    Rat:
You have every right to be proud of your sons-I'm proud of them-and I don't even know them. I wish more young folks would be proud enough of their country to serve in the military. My son did, and I am a former NCO in the Army, I know your boys will call me a wimp for going Army and not Marines, but they and I can take that up when we get together. 10 or 15 years from now, (by then Rat and Gunsmith will have met) and I will harrass them for joining the "Crotch"
Give them my best wishes, and the best of luck.

Congratulations! Camp Geiger is nice, though he will not have much time to enjoy the area. Cherry Point and New River are just around the corner. when he is stationed there he can go back to visit the Geiger area. I spent most of my 20 year career in North Carolina. I was really deployed but NC was home.

Even the marines cant change some things. Ok so Momma and I took the son out to dinner of his choice. Now mind you the young marine just turned 21 the 16th of August. Mom asked so what did you do for your birthday he said him and some other marines went to a casino. All good so far and she was happy with that and would have been satisfied to leave it right there. But nope hes proud. Says dad then we went to a strip club and would you believe I spent 100 bucks in there in a little over an hour. Momma didnt see the humor it that one but I was laughing on the inside. :D

 you're better off spending the money on bugs---and I'm sure your wife would sign on that.
