Well so much for the medium nuc hive...i had put a frame in it with two queen cells on the bottom...wellll....that frame was a plastic EZframe which seem to be a little shorter in length that my wood frames...when i put the lid on i musta jared the nuc an the EZframe slipped off the frame ledge an squished the queens flat...i noticed there were no bees at the entrance yesterday an checked it out...guess i have five drawn out frames to give to the other deep nuc now.

Yup...good thing was i pulled the larve out of half a frame of living drone brood an found only one varoa mite...kewl beans...im just gonna pull the bottom board off the nuc an use it as a super on the deep nuc...why...i dont know...just so i dont waste a box i guess...i guess i could transfer extra bees to the nuc that way from another hive if they get low in the nuc...I'll only do full medium super splits if i use mediums now...its just more bees to start with an i dont have to build more boxes.
