Got nailed in the right knee by a yellow jacket while mowing yesterday. Knee swelled up and ached like I had arthritis, and now it also itches like the devil! Way worse than honeybees.

Needless to say that yellow jacket nest met it's end shortly thereafter.

Geez, yes! My leg is still swollen from knee to ankle. Besides the rather interesting point that it apparently hit me in a "down-flowing" vein, I am not amused!

I was wondering... if one gets more honeybee stings, does that affect how you react to stings of other insects? I do not recall reacting like this before.

And if anyone has a cure for this infernal itching, I will be eternally grateful!

2 ounce Jim Beam or Johnnie Walker every 10 minutes, until itch, ""and consiousness"" is gone. :yahoo:

It's just 'cause we love ya.

Headaches of that kind are best treated with "hair off the dog's back that bit you".

In other words, more of the same.
