9:15pm this evening...
The nuc from the split had some action going, also...
party on the porch:yahoo:
must be a little hot, humid southern evening going on down your way tonight!
They look good. Maybe remove that entrance reducer if they are strong enough and it's that hot?
Mine will really be bearding in the next 3 days if it gets as hot as they say, 104, 105, 104, 100 and than a cool 99. My strong hive has been bearding for a month now with the temp. high 80 to 90's.
Yeah, Perry, I did open the reducer a bit today. I was thinking that I might ought to take it off altogether. I just don't want my main hive in the back yard to start harassing them. This split is only three weeks old, but they seem to be getting pretty strong. They went from three brood frames & two empty foundations to five jam packed frames in two weeks. I had to add another nuc box to the top last weekend because I don't have their new home quite finished, yet.
