I'm scratching my head. Here in NE Ohio, I see nothing for the bees to gather from but I just checked in on them and my 7 hives are bringing in pollen. Wonder where it is coming from. The wind gusts are 50 mph and it is 67 degrees here on the 15th of Feb.

I have some strong bees if they can fight this wind on their return home.

ive heard chickens having feather dander....lol..do the feed makers actually put a pollen substitute in the chicken feed?..
I have no idea. The first I found out about the bees getting it from chicken feed was Sunday at the beekeeper's meeting when two other beekeeps told me that is where their bees are getting it from. Now I don't know if it is pollen or not but it comes in on their legs. I am sure Gypsy can give us a better answer if we can get him out of the pond.;)
