Just got notified that my order of 10 queens from Hawaii due on May 4th has to be changed! Not enough queens available at that time.
I have been offered other dates and am kind of wondering what my best bet would be.
    April 20th
    April 26th
    May 17th
Those April dates seem attractive from an early start point of view but perhaps too early, I don't know if I will have hives strong enough for that given I have not even been able to get into them in any meaningful manner yet. I am 17 for 18 so far and maybe have another one that is weak.
The late May date would be safe but I may have hives that will already be in swarm mode by then, hmmmmmm. :dontknow:

I would think more about what the weather would be during shipping then after they got there. You can make adjustments at home, but you can't help what they are exposed to while traveling.
