Just entered and order for Queens from R Weaver and they are asking for my preferred ship date. I need some advise on the optimial Queen introductory period for the Raleigh NC area this spring, please.
These queens will replace any 'inferior' queens found during early spring inspections which I'm thinking will be done in late Feb, or early March depending on the weather. i guess around here i need to allow for possible extreme temps thru Mid March really even though the past two years that has not occurred. the lady at R Weaver said to insure it's late enough that night time temps won't be below freezing during shipping.
