Question on swarms--

    I got 2 swarms tonight and was wondering if it is ok to leave them closed up till tomorrow evening when they will be moved to their permanent location.

    Nice swarm. If you mean you have hived them, yeah, you can close them up. I assume you have given them some syrup. Most folks give their swarms syrup right at first, but on the flow last year I put some swarms on all empty foundation and didn't feed them anything and they did fine.

    No syrup yet, will get them set up tomorrow.

    That second one looks like it gave you a bit of a challenge to hive them.
    Like Dr. Buzz says, you can get away with not feeding them the first day and it's better not to let them mark their present spot by letting them fly.
    Move the hives and open them up from their intended location.

    bees with some essential resources (ie food) can be shut up for extended period of time. adding a bit of feed and/or water is often a good idea.
