rearranging the frames?

    I read that the queen normally lays eggs starting from the center frames then outward. In one of our hives all the brood is on the last two frames. Should we slide those two frames closer to the center of the hive?

    Yes, by one frame. Place an empty next to the outside wall. Continue to do that if they draw out the outer frame. If your weather has been cool, they are likely building toward the warmer side.
