Royal Jelly?

    There is a queen cell in one of my hives. I looked up in it, and all I see is a white goo, and no larva. Is this royal jelly? Why can't I see the larva?

    My guess is you forgot your glasses. :D

    I haven't seen one with RJ only in 30+ years of looking. I have seen some that blends in almost perfectly. Look again.

    If there is a hatched egg in there it could be hard to see, they are very tiny.

    I guess I did not explain well enough. There is a white gooey substance in the bottom 1/4 to 1/3 of the cell. Looks like candy filling, of some sort. I have seen plenty of eggs, over the years.
