Make a one inch shim and place the queen above the bars. The bees will naturally cluster at the top of the box, so make sure the queen is there. After the queen is out, remove the shim.
setting up Warre hives package/queen
I will be setting up (2) Warre hives on Saturday, Italian package w/ Russian queen… how/where should I place the queen?
